About Us

Meet the women behind clover.

We all have personal animal rescue stories to tell.  Each of us has adopted or fostered rescue dogs, and we found a common bond through our love and advocacy for American Staffordshire Terriers and American Bull Terriers– better known as Pit Bulls.

We have volunteered with shelters and rescues, and we have seen the abuse and neglect that humans can do to animals, in particular to Pit Bulls. The pain and frustration of not being able to save every dog is very real to us. Saving the next one, however, is what keeps us going.

The dogs and cats (and other animals) that fill shelters and foster homes have overworked staff and volunteers caring for them. But who looks out for the people?

We formed Clover Rescue Enrichment Partners to give much-needed marketing support to busy animal shelters and rescue workers and volunteers. We have professional experience in various marketing areas from public relations and graphic design to social media campaigns and fundraising. Our goal is to teach you or your organization how to use specific tools to better your rescue’s marketing and fundraising efforts, as well as motivate and energize staff and volunteers.

We are here for you.

Lauriel Leonard

Co-Founder and Lead Public Relations

Meet Lauriel Leonard. Lauriel is the visionary behind Clover and brings life and energy to every project. Since the mid 1990s, Lauriel has been involved in rescue work and animal welfare. She has volunteered and served on the boards of several groups making an impact on their programs and bringing joy and success in the form of fairy glitter wherever she goes. Fundraising and event strategy is just one of her many talents.

Lauriel was a founding member of Georgia English Bulldog Rescue and spent nine years as the committee chair for the “Bully Ball”, a six-figure fundraiser that has been going strong since 2009. She also has a soft spot for Pit Bulls and advocates on their behalf by educating people about this misunderstood breed.

Adept at public speaking and storytelling through images and video, she and her husband owned a successful precast concrete company.  She still conducts national presentations and handles social media photography and video for projects. Engaging and energizing the people around her is part of the package when Lauriel is on your team.

What She Does –
  • Shelter/rescue engagement
  • Public speaking
  • Consultant for fundraising, events, best practices for photo/video/interviews

Kristy Vaughn

Co-Founder and Lead Writer/Editor

Meet Kristy Vaughn. Kristy is the lead writer and editor for Clover, so when you spot a typo or mistake—it’s her fault!

Naturally curious and genuinely interested in most subjects—with the exclusion of stamp collecting—her interest in animal welfare began in 2017 when she adopted the love of her life, an American Pit Bull Terrier named Juliet, who had been dumped at a shelter and sat unwanted for nearly two years.

When Juliet passed away from terminal cancer in January of 2023, Kristy set an impossible goal to save as many Pit Bulls as she could. Two weeks later, she adopted Teddy from a Pit Bull rescue in Georgia because she felt that she shouldn’t wait when so many good dogs need good homes.

Teddy’s sweet demeanor allowed her to foster other pitties. A year later, she “foster failed” with Nellie—a sweet and petite pittie who was on the urgent list at a local. You can see more of Teddy and Nellie’s cuteness on their Instagram @teddyandnellie.

Her goal of saving more Pit Bulls continues now through Clover in hopes of providing better communication for animal rescues.

  • Editor
  • Consultant for writing/editing (social media posts, letter templates, websites, etc)

Jules WIlson Fandos

Co-Founder and Lead Graphic Designer

Meet Jules Fandos. Jules makes Clover pretty. She is the branding mind behind the look, feel, and logo of the marketing consultation group that is helping animal shelters and rescue groups achieve their goals.

She has owned and designed two local community magazines since 2008, performs graphics layouts for other magazines, and does freelance work for companies in need of branding, logos, and marketing collateral.

Jules rescued her first dog when she was in middle school and spent all her babysitting money on the vet bills. Abandoned dogs seem to always find this Georgia native and she has a special place in her heart for Pit Bulls. Her self-proclaimed weakness is foster dogs because she seems to always fail and adopt. But we don’t consider that a failure. Rather, just a good excuse for another dog.

What She Does –
  • Create graphics and overall design
  • Develop marketing campaigns
  • Consultant for branding, marketing, and graphic design

Lindsey Eltindge

Art Director

Meet Lindsey Eltinge. Retired from a 20-year career as a commercial photographer, Lindsey brings a keen eye for the big picture at Clover.  Lindsey expertly takes a vision or idea and boils it down to a single objective. She helps guide organizations to focus on missions and goals through one-on-one consultations.

Advocating for animal welfare has been a passion for Lindsey since college, and she volunteers her time through fostering dogs and by lending her photography skills to animal rescue organizations. Her newest passion is showing how amazing American Pit Bull Terriers and rescue dogs are through the world of dog sports. Lindsey is a dog mom to Rex, a rescue American Pit Bull Terrier, who’s primarily learning nose work while also enjoying racing and hunting for rodents.

Kristi Henry

Visual and Content Project Manager

Meet Kristi Henry. Working in professional development in education and the film industry gives Kristi a unique edge for animal rescue groups. She and her husband, Josh, enjoy storytelling through creative video editing and content creation, and they often team up to create compelling short films and other media.

This dog mom to Stella and Miles is also endlessly devoted to her K9 rescue kids—she and husband go everywhere with their pups! You can follow their journey on their Instagram @havedogwilltravel.us.

After adopting Pit Bulls, she quickly recognized the fear and misunderstanding these dogs receive from the community. Her advocacy and engagement with rescue groups and volunteer efforts with Clover are designed to promote positive awareness of the breed and show that a good home will foster a loyal, gentle, and loving dog—regardless of the breed.
